BESSEY Simply better – and more sustainable!
BESSEY has been raising the bar since 1889 with their cutting and clamping technology. With innovations based on many years of research and development, quality, design and functionality is a high priority – as is sustainability. FibreStrap is more than happy to be a securing part of their new packaging solution.
“ It is important to us to use packaging materials that are both functional and environmentally friendly. In addition to properties that protect and secure the products during transport and storage” says Thomas Klein at BESSEY.
Replacing plastic with a natural choice
The impact of the materials on the environment is considered when choosing packaging solutions. So when BESSEY were looking for a way to replace the plastic cable ties that were securing their products, FibreStrap was a natural choice.
“The increasing importance of environmental awareness in the packaging industry motivated us to look for alternatives to conventional plastic packaging. FibreStrap, with its combination of strength and sustainability, fitted perfectly into our philosophy of environmentally friendly, resource-saving and efficient packaging solutions”, says Thomas.
“Finding a solution for a company like BESSEY is really exciting”, says Tobias Bergarp, CO-Founder of FibreStrap. ”This is a company known for great values and for setting the bar high in terms of quality. Being chosen to be part of their solution to safeguard BESSEY products is an accolade in itself”.
Even though the sustainability decisions at BESSEY are primarily driven and triggered by
internal requirements and processes, customer demand is increasingly characterized by an awareness of environmental issues. “ More and more consumers are favoring products and services that are environmentally friendly, ethical and socially responsible. This development is influencing business decisions in various areas, not just packaging”, says Thomas.
Strong, recyclable and biodegradable
FibreStrap is a patented sustainable paper cable tie, designed to easily replace current plastic solutions for bundling, securing, and attaching in any industry. Made of long fibres from the Scandinavian forests it is strong, recyclable, and biodegradable
“Recycling packaging is an important part of the circular economy and makes a significant contribution to reducing waste and conserving natural resources. Packaging made from environmentally friendly materials can be recycled in order to reuse these raw materials and manufacture new products”, says Thomas.
